Iam8bit has revealed the physical release of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe on Nintendo Switch and PS5. Pre-orders for the interactive fiction game developed by Crows Crows Crows begin on March 28th, with a release date of July 19, 2024.
Two editions will be produced, the first of which will be available at major retailers and includes; four art cards, featuring perfectly mundane images of your favorite Stanley Parable locations. A Collector's Edition will be available exclusively on the iam8bit online store, and includes the Reassurance Bucket Manual, “Official Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Merchandise” stickers, a 5” PVC Stanley figurine (also called Figleys, Stanlurines, Mini-Stans, Stanley-Figs, Figlureanlurines, Figanleys, Stiggley-Wiggleys), soundtrack download, and exclusive cover art by Fatih Oztürk.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded reimagining of the acclaimed 2013 indie game The Stanley Parable. This new version dramatically expands the original game world with new content, new choices and new secrets to discover. The maze also got bigger.
In a commendable move, iam8bit informs that 20% of net proceeds will be donated to the non-profit charity 350.org to fight climate change
The game features numerous visual enhancements reflecting modern technology, while faithfully preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility features have also been added, including text translation, color mode for color-blind people and warnings for sensitive content.
The Stanley Parable has been available digitally on the Nintendo Switch since April 2022.
About-
You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will make a choice, and you will have your choices taken from you. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. You are not here to win. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.
