Premium Edition Games and Primitive Pixels are preparing a physical release of Seed of Nostalgia on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The release is scheduled for 2028.
Two editions are planned, both via Kickstarter; those who back the standard edition will receive a double-sided art slip, full-color booklet, hand-painted slipcase, a custom challenge card, and a custom dog tag that is only available during this pre-order window. It also includes the digital OST, digital Retro mini-guide, beta demo access (PC), and the art and wallpaper pack.
Those who opt for the retro edition will receive all the items from the Switch Standard Edition all packaged inside a stylish SNES-style box, plus a limited edition physical Soundtrack CD with exclusive art, a physical copy of the Retro Mini-Guide, a digital copy of the OST, digital Retro Mini-Guide, beta access (PC), and the HD art / wallpaper pack.
The game will feature compositions by Eddie Marianukroh of Chained Echoes and Hiroki Kikuta of Secret of Mana and Trails of Mana. In addition, there are plans to feature key moments from the game scored by an orchestra and even a short anime.
The campaign for Seed of Nostalgia runs until May 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and those interested can support it on the game's official Kickstarter page.
